MADe is a simulation enviornment that enables the user to generate a model of a system or equipment in order to understand the functional dependencies across the system and the physics of failure that can lead to breakdown or performance degradation.

A model based technology that can be used cost-effectively at all stages of the product lifecycle, MADe uses fuzzy cognitive maps, documented workflows and standardised taxonomies of functional descriptions and failure concepts to ensure the consistency of system models that are generated within organisations and across supply chains (for “systems of systems”).

Reusable and extensible library capability for parts, components and systems ensures rapid model development, and enables the analysis to be carried out concurrently with the design process, rather than as a compliance exercise when the design is ‘locked in’.


MADe outputs FMECA reports for the model based on industry accepted standards and this data is used as the input for safety / RAM / ILS / CBM and PHM analysis that can be generated by the other MADe modules.

MADe has a STEP Interface to enable import of system data from CAD systems to further accelerate the development of system models.
