MADe PHM was developed to optimize the development of CBM / PHM capability.

Each failure mode in a MADe system model is propagated to establish its functional dependencies and a syndrome of system response is generated autonomously.

These ‘failure syndromes’ enable a system level view of the impacts of the failure and increase the confidence level for diagnostic solutions and are used to perform the following analysis:

  • Automated Sensor Set Generation,
  • Fault Detection Coverage Analysis,
  • Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) Analysis,
  • Fault Isolation Performance Assessment,
  • Fault Detection Accuracy Analysis,
  • Sensor Optimization

Tools exist to that allow the user to focus the design of the sensor sets based on parameters such as the criticality of failure modes, the cost of the diagnostic solution, the location of the sensors and their expected reliability and performance. and generates the following outputs:

  • Sensor set design / validation
  • Fault Detection & Isolation analysis
  • Ambiguity Analysis
  • Automated diagnostic rule generation
  • Probability of Detection (POD) for sensors
